ProVolley junior players in a development session

Junior Development Program

ProVolley's official junior pathway for players aged 7-18.

Learn volleyball by playing volleyball

At ProVolley, our Junior Development Program uses Mini Volley to help young players build skills, confidence and a love of the game. This approach is supported by the FIVB and used in junior development programs around the world: the court, team size and rules are adapted so players can take part from the start and progress as they learn.

Smaller teams mean more opportunities to touch the ball, practise new skills and make decisions in a real game. As players improve, our coaches gradually introduce new challenges, helping them develop their passing, setting, serving, movement and understanding of teamwork.

Mini Volley also helps children grow beyond the court. Players learn to communicate, support teammates, solve problems and respond to challenges together. Through active play, they develop coordination, balance, agility and confidence in their movement.

Every junior player has a place to start. JDP is open to all junior ages, with Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced groups based on skill level. Whether your child is picking up a volleyball for the first time or ready for a greater challenge, we’ll help them find the right group and keep moving forward.
