Achievement · 3 October 2026
Five ProVolley players have been named in the 2026 NSW Phoenix women's squad for the Mahindra Australian Volleyball Super League, and Ana Calaza joins the Phoenix coaching staff as Women's Assistant Coach.
Congratulations to our five players named in the squad:
- Bailee Blackman
- Mireille Smith
- Nina Takahashi
- Kiki Karibin-Cheek
- Sibella Hawkes
ProVolley has more players in the squad than any other club, a proud moment for our players, their families and every coach who has worked with them along the way.
Ana Calaza joins the coaching staff
Our Pathway and Operations Manager, Ana Calaza, has been named Women's Assistant Coach of the NSW Phoenix for the 2026 season. Ana also leads our Junior Development Program, and we couldn't be prouder to see her on the Phoenix bench.
What is the AVSL?
The Mahindra Australian Volleyball Super League is Australia's national volleyball competition. It is a city-versus-city league with equal men's and women's competitions, bringing together the best players in the country across six clubs: Adelaide Storm, Canberra Super Heat, Melbourne Vipers, NSW Phoenix, Perth Steel and Queensland Pirates. The format is built for fans, with faster sets and more action, and every match is shown live on Kayo Sports.
The 2026 season runs from 10 October to 21 November: five regular-season rounds, then the semi-finals and the Championship Finals.
